somewhat disappointed
If you are a regular sci SF club guy... well this is not for you... forme neither. Even if the scenario starts in a desolated earth destroyedby the human greed in a continuous industrialization where the mainsolution was by adoption of a crowd control law by forcing every familyto be limited to two kids and the only counter solution was bydiscovering and exploiting a space-time rift and traveling back intotime (80 millions years ago) in a dinosaurs roamed earth... well theshow is dumb. This is all the SF you get. The rest is a drama where theemotions, reactions, ideas, solutions just don't really interact/fitwith the environment. A classic family drama with some stupid politicalflavors where even the mighty dinosaurs are fading. Sorry but i'll juststick with my Stargate/fringe/x files/old jurassic park/battle star andso on...

Terra Nova is a big, clumsy behemoth an action adventure family drama set in a beautifully realised fantasy and inhabited by dinosaurs.
Terra Nova may not be an intelligent, serious drama, but then what doyou expect from a series that has a pun in its title? It's big budget,b-grade fun, an exciting ride and a fantastic spectacle. It slipped upin a few places, not least when it decided to ruin a perfectly goodmystery at the end of the double bill, but then I'm guessing 'Genesis'was made to be a pilot, and the writer's felt they needed to set upsome kind of grand story-arch to hook their audience. The dialogue isoften pretty clunky, but that adds to the appeal, it's an absurdfantasy epic about a family trying to get along in the Cretaceousperiod, don't expect Shakespeare. It'll be interesting to see how Terra Nova evolves, the family dramaelement is actually quite appealing in the dinosaur infested setting, and the thought of seeing what new misadventures the Shannon family getthemselves into each week is very intriguing. Terra Nova is reallysilly, but when you make a science fiction drama about living withdinosaurs, you kind of need to be.

Communist Show
Aside from everything that has been said on the poor side of this showby many reviewers, I might add that this show has a great politicalagenda. It promotes the idea that humans are destroying the planet tothe point of it becoming a desert. While that idea has foundations andis up for debate, what is not really up for debate is the quasicommunist rule they live under in Terra nova, being the ultimatesolution and somehow bringing happiness and agreement to all people. In Terranova one military leader dictates the rules and enforces itwith an iron fist. In this one tyrant there is a consolidation of allpowers, where judgment and punishment are but the designs of hisarbitrary whim. Allegedly his judgment is always perfect and alwaysright. The show serves to demonstrate once more another example of how thisidea of monarchic rule does not work to serve the people, unless theseindividuals somehow all agree to be peasants being exploited andserving their overlord purposes and designs. This type of monarchy where one man is the overlord of a people was themain rule on the earth for thousands of years and it still is in manycountries. How is that a good head-start of a new world ? All theenhancements to the human condition came after the powers of governmentwere divided and personal liberties granted. The show is really weak on its own argument, instead of showing a startwhere personal liberties and freedom were granted from the beginning itdoes precisely the contrary, creating an environment for conflict andstruggle, where nothing but war will allow revolutionaries to breakaway and compete with the "benevolent" rule.

Not the next LOST
Advertised as being the new LOST is something big. So, assuming thecritics had been right in calling it the next LOST, I expected bigthings from this show. The main idea is brilliant, the way the writerswent about it though was all wrong. The characters were underdeveloped, mysteries that were introduced in the first episode were all but solvedby the end of the premier(the writings on the rocks, and the "others").I had high hopes coming into this show, but half way through thepremier I was counting down the minutes until it was over. I then gavethe next 5 episodes a chance to redeem an unappealing season premier. And again what I got was disappointing. I gave it a chance, and I amsad that it couldn't come through for me.

surprisingly well done
I feel like the commercials and previews for this show really let itdown and were pretty misleading, in a good way. I, for one, was lead tobelieve this would be a low budget, SyFy-esk production of utmostcheese, until I gave it a shot. This high-concept show in which the technology of the future meets thestone age world of the past, is actually pulled off very well. From thesetup, the story is well told and keeps the viewer entertained andinvolved, although the beginning was a bit rushed. The acting is great, even the kids and teens pull off their roles with believability. The plot, feel and overall look of the story does rip off from a fewdifferent sources. From the doomed totalitarian future to thepicturesque "Jurassic Park" past, we see a compilation of movies we allknow and love. However, they are movies that we all know and love, soit doesn't hurt to see it again retold in a different light. In all, if this series keeps up with the thrill ride of the hour and ahalf pilot of the past, then it has got a great future.

Potential..ly flawed..?
TERRA NOVA is not bad...but it is not that good either. All thatmatters is the return on the current investment, before advertising, aTV pilot record of $10 million on FOX which means ratings countotherwise it will be cancelled or sold and vastly stripped down. Beyondthat I was horrified at the sheer cost and waste of talent that was ondisplay during the pilot. Also the number of plot holes had mescreaming at my TV, not because I'm mental but due to the fact thatlike Falling Skies I wanted to love the show from day one but they madeit practically impossible. Steven Spielberg's involvement is almost aguarantee of poor quality these days (which boggles my mind) as he likewith Falling Skies has sold his credit to the show.It is as if the creators (amazingly a good fringe director!!??) havenever read a good book / watched a great film or viewed a super serieswhich is not the case if you look at all involved resume which leads meto believe that there was allot of interference from on high and thedisjointed editing, and patchy almost hasty writing would support this. The dinos effects (that's really the selling point folks) were belowpar (especially in daylight), the script was a mediocre to laughable, the science messy, confusing and offensive, the acting was weak (as ifthe characters except Taylor could not commit) and those characterswere mostly horrible (though as always fairly attractive) but like thealien dung of falling skies it has potential due to a captivating story(or idea) as sometimes dino dung can be sweet smelling and hey it makesroses grow right!...right?There is no denying that though the Hollywood moneymen wet dreamchecklist has been ticked, it is currently fundamentally flawed, lacking the 'oomph' other better but recently cancelled shows had.Terra Nova is not as good as SGU/SG1/V/ENTERPRISE or BSG and it'sdefinitely no LOST or blue enough to be AVATAR.The mixed genres clashed violently, too violently for many families andtoo stupid for clever teens. It was not JACK BAUHER hardcore enough foryoung men with only a few deaths (not the annoying kids sadly) and thepolitics was no west wing and it was not Califonia sexy though theplain girl stripped off) or Castle witty though it clearly tried for aslice of every pie to get those ratings and big bucks back thoughprobably it will alienate and lose the very audience it's trying to winthrough such transparent tactics. So what is TERRA NOVA? Possibly 'falling skies - lite' which is no goodthing as I was disappointed with FS though I am trying so hard to stickwith it. At least TERRA NOVA has yet to bring in religion thoughironically they managed to drag back all of the reasons the future ismessed up into the past plus the stereotypes.A good pilot (like LOST) would make me wow, laugh out loud, shed atear, turn on the light etc. But there were never any really impactingmoments though I did enjoy allot of what was on offer it was all socliché and passé, unoriginal and underwhelming to have any lastingimpact except for the current misdirection which as previouslymentioned had me rialed up.It's so obvious what is wrong with TERRA NOVA and to a less extent itcan all be fixed but no one will give us Starship Trooper for TV whichI think would be one way to make this show compulsive viewing. The showrunners have balls but they have been locked away by a greedycorporation (a film in itself!) and all involved are desperate (due tothe investment) and confused (due to the interference) at what they aretrying to sell as clearly too many people have had their say to raisethe budget and spread the burden.By stretching themselves in every direction but not far enough TerraNova is very middle of the road made for TV syfy movie nonsense hopingto appeal to all groups, races, ages etc but it won't, can't work (noton this budget)...it never works no matter how many dinos or aliens or??? you throw into the primordial melting pot, people are just toosavvy these days to fall for it long term. For all the rubbish on TV weare still fat from Dexter, Breaking bad, Lost, The Mentalist, BSG,House 24, Spartacus, The Wire, SOA, WW, BN which all deliver more bangeven on reruns so why give time to a new show which fails to succeed inany one direction and as a whole is a mess.Outside of Falling Skies if I had to compare it to anything or theroute the inevitable cancellation will take it would be that of THECAPE. I liked the cape and was sorry to see it go as one thing itexcelled in was being ridiculous camp cheddar but it whiffs of the sameextra ripe cheese created by juvenile execs champing at the bit of afilm success train and jump on for the ride failing to understand thecore mechanics and so we get processed cheese, totally missing thepoint of what makes a good show great. Maybe someone will take charge and like SGU or V the second series willbe far superior. Already the second part of the pilot was as such butthose good shows I mentioned that was too late for them as they werecanned so really it will come down to money (so sad that so much relieson such a sad thing) or how much they want to lose in the hope ofmaking a hit. It never worked out for Flash Forward; can it work forTerra Nova?

Decent fare for kids but has nothing to offer to intelligent adults
Interesting concept, but I wasn't pulled in. This show feels as if itshould be on ABC Family. That's my strongest, initial reaction. Fox,how can you axe quality shows and then order up this? Seriously? Iwanted it to feel more gritty along the lines of the new BattlestarGalactica. Fringe is scifi, Fox. Terra Nova feels like 70's Land of theLost but with some blood and gadgets thrown in. The highlight isStephen Lang as the commander, but I liked him better in Avatar. Iagree with other reviews: cookie cutter, cliché, uninterestingcharacters, etc. This series feels as if it's aimed towards teenagersand younger children. As an intelligent SciFi minded adult, this seriesdoes nothing for me. I give this show 3 weeks tops. Wow I should be aFOX exec. :D

Better than expected
Story: not SO new, but well doneCasting: Good, the actors making a good JobWhy a 9?: On the first look it might seem a mix of crappy SciFi shows.Who cares if it's done good? The reason the most Reviews are bad inhere are't cause the show's bad, its because the Hater's take theretime to write.I liked the idea of an World on the brink of Apokalypse, an theresolution: Run and hide in Past, its so Human. The Special Eff. are welldone, and not to big to disturb. About the Family in the middle of theStory; I like it, cause Troops of Soldiers, Spacemen, Scientists youcan get everywhere. To see how People try to survive in a new, unexplored, dangerous but Paradise-like World... i cant wait to seemore.BTW: Haters will always Hate

Best 2 hour premiere Ive ever seen.
Steven Spielberg, known for hits Jurassic Park and Minority Report, brings us "Terra Nova" a new sci-fi series that tells the tale of theShannons, a well-to-do family in a world where humanity is on the brinkof extinction. However, scientists have discovered time travel thatwill enable humanity the possibility of a fresh start. But the journeyis a long and arduous one. Can humanity survive or is it doomed toextinction. The pilot episode was really great for it allowed the audience to getto know the characters and sets up the story really well. There aresome rough spots in the acting and plot progression, but theperformances were all good throughout. The show is filled with enoughmystery and intrigue to warrant more out of the universe that Spielbergand co have created. Don't expect to know everything from the outset asthis new series has yet to unveil it's many secrets that the newarrivals have imagined. With tension and excitement that had my blood pumping, Terra Nova is aseries to watch. As a fan of sci-fi, I'm anxious to see what willhappen next.

A mixture of Avatar and Lost
Either im spoiled, or this show is really average, maybe below average. The story lines are flimsy, predictable, cliché and trite. Many actorssimply aren't the right person for the role, especially Jim Shannon(played by Jason O'Mara.) There are so many elements in this show thatare so bored off, like the father and son that don't get along, themother that is always worried... Also I would like to refer to the show"Lost" and the way "the sixters" are the reflection of "the others". Itwas disappointing too see the same style of people they are: wearingworn, old clothes, living separated and being called "the bad guys". Mein person, I really had enough of that thing. Also, how ridiculous isit that Shannon arrives and gets to be the Commanders best buddy andpreserver after less than 1 day. .One thing is for sure: The writers got their inspiration from Avater, maybe from Jurassic Park, and wanted to do something special, butfailed - in my opinion.Let me just enumerate a few positive remarks about the show: You get tosee quite nice images, animals and dinosaurs are done good, the musicis OK too.

How to save Humankind? Go back in time and make the same mistakes again.
Despite what I'm going to say in this review, I will say stick withthis series for some entertaining stories, forgive it its obvious flawsand lack of forward thinking or radical ideas, and just hope that themore irritating characters will get killed off.Straight away, you just know it's American, with all of the stereotypes that will inevitably involve. Europeans are constantly irritatedby the over simplification of group culture in American drama's; we ask"don't these audiences have a brain? Can't they work it out"?! I'm surethey can, but producers want a nice safe package for the majornetworks, and this is a fine example of that play it safe mentalitythat feels it needs to tick the right demographic boxes (for thesponsors sake). So, it's 2149 and Earth is dying, through the excesses of capitalism, industrialisation and war, no surprises so far. A technology has comealong to allow 'colonists' to travel back 85 million years to analternate time stream on Earth (Terra Nova) and get the chance to eatreal food and breathe clean air, good for them! However they set up acolony under the guidance and leadership of a wizened yet tough andruthless old soldier and his obvious authoritarian 'regime', supportedby tonnes of well armed soldiers that don't seem to do anything exceptsentry duty (the first of many clichés, more to come, in bucketfulls!). How do they achieve the setting up of this colony? They farm, that's good, it makes sense. They set up a trading system that involvesproducing goods and and a central market to enable selling them formoney. BAD, BAD, BAD! If you wanted to save mankind and avoid theexcesses and mistakes that have destroyed all human kind what the hellare you doing instigating the very same system that has destroyed us inthe first place???!!! Big fail, and one that had me hurling abuse andthe odd boot at the TV whenever this system was reinforced andjustified. Humans managed perfectly well for thousands of generationsin non authoritarian tribes, (Ancient Celtic tribes elected theirchiefs, so did many others) all without the need for money becauseresources were plentiful, as they so obviously are on Terra Nova. Onecan't help thinking that if Scandinavians had done the initialcolonising they would never have made this fundamental error. YetScandinavians don't have that irrational, brainwashed fear of 'the bigbad boogie man, Socialism'. The colony has an obvious over reliance on technology and extravagantgadgets that need a whole load of electricity, rather than adapting totheir new environment in a more sympathetic and practical manner. Mostof the gadgets have a neon glow that is totally wasteful of preciousenergy and unnecessary, mmmmm? The vehicles used to travel onunexplained roads through hostile jungle and dinosaur infestedlandscapes are quite often open sided, and backed up by motorbikes thatreminded me of the 'old' Battlestar Galactica shows after they reachedEarth (had the production budget slashed). Yet you see vehicle driversand crew succumbing to quickly reflexed dinosaurs and their appetitefor human flesh, hasn't anyone heard of doors? Who designed thesethings?! The 'good guys', all committed capitalists, (Colonists) are always wellturned out and shiny clean, have impeccable manners, with not one'ugly' amongst them as they all at one time or another have certainlymodelled for a home shopping catalogue. If there is one that is vaguely'normal' looking, you can bet that they're a 'colourful' character, quirky but lovable. The bad guys (Sixers) are all 'radical' looking with a wardrobe andhairstyles from the punk era with lots of ink and piercings and quite afew 'uglies'. They have bad attitudes and a scheming, violent naturefuelled and lead by an evil leader who is a carbon copy of Tina Turnerin Mad Max III. The good guy/bad guy stereo type is now well and trulyin full flow. Shame, as I prefer the Sixers, at least they're more intune with their new home and have virtually no reliance on technologyor capitalism. Why are they portrayed as the bad guys when they havemore of an idea on how to exist as a self supporting tribe? Oh, Iforgot, this is an American show with a stream of commercials everyfive minutes so we wouldn't want to deter all of those gadget hungryconsumers do we? The sponsors just wouldn't allow it. Already we have war (the Sixers have broken away to set up an alternatecolony). Greed through ownership and the pursuit of money; andindustrialisation through the desire to produce goods for profit alonerather than goods for the good of the community as a whole. See theflaws to this doomed utopia?I'll have to stop writing now, my obvious irritation with this show isboiling to the surface and I don't want to break any more screens, whether they belong to a TV or PC.Having derided the lack of imagination such a show should have, I'llsign off by saying that it can be entertaining in a blinkered, nonimaginative, 'wholesome' American way.UPDATE............I got as far as episode 10 as I was hoping this show would improve, ithasn't. I would compare it to watching a relative die from somecreeping, body consuming disease. The anger I now feel is that ofsomeone that knows there's a cure, yet the doctors haven't a clue andwon't listen. Give this show a wide berth, go for a walk or talk toyour friends instead, you'll get a lot more satisfaction from it.

Has potential, but still needs work.
I expected more out of this title. I never saw Lost, so I can't compareLost to this title, but I definitely saw a lot of Jurassic Parkmoments. I saw the preview of this awhile back and was excited to seethe pilot episode, but I was underwhelmed by it, especially after thesecond half. What first drew me into this title was the fact that Landon Liboironwas in it, and the setting of the Terra Nova immediately had me hooked. After that, they showed the dinosaurs and I instantly went to mark thedate down so I wouldn't miss it. RegardlessÂI liked the acting of allof the cast members, but there were some parts of the first episodethat made me cringe. The first hour of the episode was great. It showedthe main characters, gave us insight into their family's dynamic and itimmediately threw the audience into their world. The first hour wasprobably the most entertaining part of the whole episode. The second half of the episode was what underwhelmed me. The secondhalf of the show had numerous scenes that were completely predictableand cliché. There was one scene where Josh (the teen aged son) and hisnew-found friends go outside the gates of Terra Nova, which is arestricted area filled with dinosaurs. On their way back, they find thevehicle they were in previously, only to find out that it can't run. They run into a "Sixer" vehicle and long story short, they find weaponsinside the vehicle just in time for "slashers" to come and try to havethose kids for dinner. Naturally, the father finds out that his son andsome other kids got behind the fence and they haven't come back yetÂsohe (along with Nathaniel Taylor, Stephen Lang's character) rounds up asearch party and his wife also finds out. Elizabeth and Jim Shannonhave a small fight about who's going to go to the search party to findtheir son and who should stay homeÂbut they both end up going and setaside their differences. One last cliché was that when the search partyfinds Josh and his friends, Josh (who is armed at the time) is tryingto help his wounded friend when his dad calls out to him. He looks overhis shoulder to find his father only a short distance away, only for a"slasher" to be about a foot away from his son and Jim saves him.In the second half, they do reveal interesting things that definitelyleave the audience with questions that would make you tune in for more. The "Sixers" are one of those thingsÂthey were people who came in onthe sixth voyage to Terra Nova, but obviously something went wrongbecause they aren't living among the rest of the colony. There are alsostrange symbols in areas outside of the gates, which somehow have tieswith Taylor's son.All-in-all, I really want to say that I loved this title, but I can'tsay that I did (or at least so far, since the title's only aired oneepisode), however; I did like it. The title has potential, and so dothe individual characters. I hope the CGI gets better because comparedto Jurassic Park, these dinosaurs basically paled in comparison. Theportal scene in the first half of the episode looked very good, though. So far, the show has been, for the most part, really predictable but,the acting was good. The characters were watchable, and it had somepretty cool aspects in the show (like their advanced weaponry, the foodon Terra Nova, etc.).

Worth a watch,
After reading reviews on here I was adamant not to watch Terra Nova, but a friend at work persuaded me to do so.I had no expectations for this program and assumed that I'd watch halfthe pilot and then turn it off. That wasn't the case, I watched 5episodes yesterday (Counting the Pilot as 2 episodes) and the remaining7 today (Counting the finale as 2 episodes)Sure it wasn't the most captivating show that I've had the pleasure ofwatching, but it is in no doubt, worth a watch. I would recommend you watch the pilot, then decide whether to continueviewing or not.

The Brady Bunch travel to the Past, Meet some Dinosaurs, Explore Teenage Love
Man, where to begin? Given the premise of the show, maybe it'sappropriate that this series is stuck in its own timewarp in just aboutevery critical facet: the acting, the music, the plot ... the producersemploy a cookie-cutter approach to all of these components. It has thefeel of a campy 1980's style show. I keep expecting Mr. Roarke toemerge from the jungle with Tattoo shouting "Dee Plane, Dee Plane"!However, the campy feel is the least of the show's problems. Thecritical issue I have with it is that it is ... drumroll ... REALLYBORING. It is like a cheesy soap opera transported itself to the past. The characters are unlikeable. The situations they find themselves inare uninteresting. Even the villains are really boring. Mira? How abouttaking some acting lessons which might give you more than one facialexpression or voice intonation. Even when they try and tackle apotentially complex subject like how to handle a murder in a societywith no official laws or jails ... it is superficially treated. Morelike a CSI: Dinosaurs than about the complex emotions or ethics of howwe might handle such a crime in a new society billions of years in thepast. And that is the crux of where they really miss the boat. I tuned inbeing interested in the concept of a dystopian future mingled with anew beginning in a savage, yet pristine and exciting new world. Insteadthe show doesn't explore either component. We know nothing about howthe world came to be as it was. There is no exploration of thebackgrounds of the characters. There is also a shockingly little feelthat they're even in an era billions of years in the past. It's just aweek to week soap revolving around the Brady Bunch family in a camp inthe jungle, except a less likable or interesting version. Gee, I am SOINTERESTED in the relationship between the daughter and that young guy,I can't wait to tune in!

Whats with the low ratings? AMAZING show!
From the first episode I knew this show was something I would enjoy. Inever fail to watch an episode! It's dramatic, shocking, suspenseful, and probably not so exaggerated in what could be our future. the actingis good and it definitely has action. What's not to like about it? Ihope they renew it or I'll be really disappointed! It's a great showand a reason to look forward to Mondays. It's a mix of science fictionand action. The show follows the Shannon family which is made up ofJim, the strong- headed cop who Taylor really trusts, Elisabeth, thedoctor, Josh, the risk- taker, Maddie, the smart one, and Zoey, thecute girl who legally shouldn't exist because of population laws. Ofcourse the show wouldn't be complete without Commander Taylor, who willdo anything to protect Terra Nova, Mira, the leader of the sixers whowant to destroy Terra Nova, and Skye, who is friend (maybe more) toJosh.

Awful! Awful! Awful! Awful!
Four awfuls out of five.Obviously aimed at pre-teen market, and a dim-witted one at that.Certainly not at actual, modern teenagers with a normal IQ, anyway. As for adults who would enjoy this? Maybe if the show is sent thru acrack in time to an America of 1950 or before. I should have known thatanything written by Brannon Bragga would be puerile. I didn't read all the reviews here, but I agree with the many negativeones I did read, (except for the remark that this will be liked bywomen over 20. I am in that group and that's an insult.). Mr. Spielberg, you probably are responsible for the good dinosaur FXand nothing more. Your name is what got me to tune in to this show, butI will not be so eager and trusting after this.

People are just too hard to please apparently...
Well, as I am sure you have all read through the reviews, theCharacters are considered to be clichéd... well yes, to some degreeThey are, but the cast does an amazing job, and are all very likable Intheir parts. There is something to be said for the phrase "if it Ain't'broke, don't fix it!" and in this case, Terra Nova didn't try to fixwhat wasn't broken. I loved the pilot. I thought the visuals, and the concept were amazing(and yes, I do know the concept has been done before! There were alsosome suggestions of future plot development in the first episode whichI found very intriguing. I am currently up to episode 5, and I thinkthe show is getting even better. There is good story and characterdevelopment, and the show really gets you thinking about what Terranova is really about. After watching the pilot I gave it to about 7-8 other people to watch, and they all loved it. Some of these people were friends my age (mid20s), both male and female, my parents (aged in their 50s) and mygrandparents (aged in their late 70s) and everyone thoroughly enjoyedit! It seems like people have forgotten how to just enjoyentertainment, everyone wants to pick at it and find faults ie. "thiswasn't realistic" or "the FX aren't mind blowing!" well I have to say,if you are the type of person that will only watch brand new concepts, then you are out of luck as there are almost none left to be had, so Itmight be time to get on board with entertainment as entertainment, notgroundbreaking advancements in technology and conceptualization. If special effects are your thing, well while Terra nova is a bitcheesy, it gets the job done, and isn't as terrible as some otherreviewers seem to believe. I gave this show 9/10 because I thoroughlyenjoyed it, but I can understand people who give it 5-6 as an "average"sort of score. To those who give it 1-2, maybe just learn to enjoy it.If they can air big brother, next top model and dancing with the stars,I can't see any excuse to give this such a low score when it is meantto be comparative! (and please forgive my biased dig at "reality TV",but at least I understand that it is biased!) Hope this review helps tobring this show out of the depths it has been dug into by all thepeople complaining about stupid things!

Not that great, not that bad, somewhere in the middle
Not a bad start but nothing spectacular. Watching Terra Nova's premierwas a hit and miss experience. I was expecting something a littlebigger in regards to the story. Terra Nova runs with a well knownformula and you will not see or hear anything new within this episode. The characters are OK, not a lot of chemistry between the maincharacter and his wife and some typical manufactured family angst. Thebest thing is of course what we do not know about yet. The sixers mayhave some life as well as the real reasons why Terra Nova was plannedand executed. I felt they spent way too much time dragging out thewhole kids stuck in the car while the dinosaurs are attacking, didn'twe see that in Jurassic Park years ago? I think they missed a realchance to establish mortal danger and one of the kids should have bitthe dust. If you are that stupid for going into dinosaur land without aweapon/training then at least one kid needs to be dinosaur dinner. Thisshow could build to something but I am getting the feeling the writersmay not be that creative.

No Point
Whats the point of going back 85 million years if in 20 million yearstime there will be a mass extinction? Why didn't ANY of the writers orproducers think of that? It was the very first thought that crossed mymind when I saw the trailers for the show. Sorry, that fact alone makesthis whole show a moot point. Add to that the fact that the story line is full of painful artificialsuspense, overly dramatic music and stupid underlying romance plots. Itseams is if the show would have been better if was launched as a videogame. Seriously, they built a huge barrier to ward off the largerdinosaurs but no one thought about the flying dinosaurs? Whos runningthat joint? In short, this show is DOA IMHO.

I Loved this show!!
I found the series to be very entertaining and exciting! I lookedforward to seeing the next episodes each week. I really liked the storyline and it always kept me wanting more. I really hope that there willbe a season 2...the ending left me hanging! Even my husband got intothis show and looked forward to seeing what would happen next each weekand he is a tough sell on shows. I believe the acting was well doneeven though the odd episode was dull they still did a great job. Ifound this show to highly stimulate my imagination! I love it when ashow does that for me. I could go on forever about how great i thinkthis show is but i wont..I'm just going to sit on the edge of my seatwaiting for the next season to come out...i really like the idea ofbeing able to go back in time and live with dinosaurs!
