Thoroughly ridiculous, rarely in a funny way
I have to say, I found the cover depicting a fat white dude with achainsaw and a machete threatening a desperate-looking group of blackguys just too provocative to pass up. However, as bunnie_row pointsout, the movie is no match for the cover. It's poorly produced (thecheese-tastic Maverick Entertainment animation at the beginning is animmediate indication), horribly written (the dialogue is so banal andswamped by black slang as to be only intelligible for ghetto-dwellers)and just as badly acted. There are a few memorable moments though, likewhen the wise Playa Playa proclaims, in reference to ladies, that "youhave to marinate before you penetrate." Otherwise, this movie is atotal dud; don't bother watching it, unless you're buddies with theguys in it.HINT: If you can read Spanish, turn on the Spanish subtitles. It'sreally the only way to follow the plot.

this movie sucked!!!!
first of all I just want to say that this is the lamest movie ever, Imean this doesn't even count as a movie seeing that it's all done byreal directors.. anyways getting back.. I couldn't get more then 30minutes in to it without shutting it off because of the stupidness..and the kills.. come on! my grandma could make up better kills thenthat. The plot is without a doubt stupid, no comment there, and theycould of at least lay off the racism a bit. This movie is a waste oftime to u and your money so if u want a stupid movie that u can get alaugh at time to time, get attack of the killer tomatoes because itbeats this film by a long mile. My rating for it is a 1/2 star.. avoidat all cost!

Bring on the Oscars.
Wow. This cinematic opus is surely a classic for any collection. Thesocial commentary of the plight of the African American race isunparalleled. The soundtrack is emotionally charged. I too like my sexhot and my "drank" cold. Well done. The killer is truly terrifying andI have since developed a fear of dominoes. I identify with Playa Playabecause a white man once tried to drown me in a hot tub. Luckily, mywoman was there to revive me with the same methods as used in thiscinematic masterpiece. Truly, I recommend this to anyone with emotions,nay anyone with a soul that feels for the blue collar worker. Thismovie also attacks many social discrepancies, such as the male phobiaof sexual relations with a menstruating female. All in all, this movieis in my top five. It's inspirational and allows you to feel again. GodBless America

Typical Slasher Movie
This movie didn't start out too bad. I liked most of the dialog in thebeginning. It starts out that a group of black students are gettingready to throw a house party. They are handing out fliers and pickingup supplies. As the characters spoke, they sounded very natural, and itwas fun to listen to them interact. Then, a white guy who wants to cometo come to the party tries to talk a lot of slang, and they beat himdown. He may or may not be dead. Once the party starts, the movie getsless interesting. The filmmakers really didn't know how to light anindoor scene or record audio with ambient noise in the background.Ignoring the technical problems, the story was not as much fun once thekillings started, either. The movie went into cliché mode, as thekiller did the typical "kill them off one at a time" routine. At theend, we find out who it was and why as the killer confronts the maincharacter. Then the police show up and shoot the killer down. There waseven a little epilogue where they try to make it seem like someone elsemight have been the killer. By this time, I didn't care much. The moviehad gone from something that had its own flavor to a total cliché. Iguess they stopped trying.

id rather find out my grandma leaked a sex tape than watch this again
this is without a doubt the worst movie i've ever seen. worse than'backyard dogs', worse than 'surviving Christmas', even worse than 'redwater'. i'm pretty sure dawson could've made a better movie with acamcorder and g.i. joes as actors than this thing. i would rather beforced to hang out with joey lawerence AND lou diamond phillips at thesame time than watch this ever again. luckily, i rented 'monsturd' atthe same time so i was able to cap off the evening with a great movie.i realize i might be being a little harsh on this movie but da brat ismy idol, and she is "brutally honest" so i'm just trying to follow inher footsteps...after all, how many other people would have stood up tothe 1-2-3 kid with a couple of champange bottles in hand?

For What It Is.......
For what it was this movie was good. Some may find their self'sdisappointed once they find out that this is no top notch horrorslasher comedy which in my opinion, makes it all the more funny. Itgets better as it goes on and there was some moments that I couldn'thelp but laugh. Its just hard to believe that this movie made it into aBlockbuster for the quality of movie it is. Usually home videos don'thave the best quality but this really, "breaks the record!" It wassurprising. Its just like a home made movie. For what it is I say itstill may be worth a watch if you like movies like Friday. It also hassome cool home made effects too that may impress you. It is prettysexual explicit, there is plenty of cursing and smokin, Snoop Doggstyle. So that pretty much sums it up I say.
