Not as good but still Jackass
This review is from: Jackass 3 (Amazon Instant Video) I laughed until I was blue in the face during 1 & 2, but 3 only made me chuckle a couple times, and it made me feel like vomiting more than the others. Would I watch it again? Definitely. It just isn't as fun as 1 or 2.

Review Jackass 3D
The Pitch: Johnny Knoxville takes one step closer to not needing thatold age make up The Review: If the thought that it's more than tenyears since Johnny Knoxville and his pals burst onto our screens, thenhave a thought for them. Could they have really imagined that after allthis time, they'd still be attempting to find cruel and unusual ways totease, torment and torture each other? There has, of course, been along break since the last installment, even if you include the deletedscenes which escaped onto DVD under the pretence of being a separatemovie, so it is it really worth the wait? For that matter, is it reallyworth the trouble? The excuse for this dip into the well of humandepravity, of course, is the opportunity to affix a D to the 3 of thetitle. Always looking to do things properly where it counts, they'vegot some proper 3D kit, then set about finding ways to use it. Thisisn't to say that every stunt requires the use of 3D; indeed, more ofthem than not would be absolutely fine in 2D, but there are undoubtedlysome memorable moments. What actually works better here is the othernew innovation, the high speed camera used to capture the moments ofheavily inflicted pain; watching the moment of impact in crystal clearslow motion adds to the feeling of awe and sense of fascination as youwatch the slow-motion convulsions, and also to the empathy you'll feelfor each one on the receiving end.Of course, Jackass has never been about purely sadistic pleasures; theintent is to make us laugh, and a lot of that is dependent on thecamaraderie and interplay between the various Jackasses. Most make areturn, only Raab Himself and Brandon DiCamillo not present from thecore cast and the rest might look a little more creased, but are stillwilling to give their all in both the physical and the just plain daft.Knoxville might be the figurehead, but the most telling contribution isthat of Steve-O, who has discovered sobriety since the last movie andenters into most of the stunts with a new found sense ofself-awareness, giving him much more of the expression of a rabbit inthe headlights, about two seconds before it's about to connect withbumper. It's not all about the physical, of course, and Jackass is as smart asever in the execution of some of its high concepts, such as a bar fightplayed out by Wee-Man and a few of his friends. April and Phil, Bam'sput upon parents, get put upon again although it's sometimes more oftheir own choosing now, and stalwarts of the series from Spike Jonze toRip Taylor all pop up in their well-worn roles. So to answer thoseearlier questions, it was worth the wait; absence has made the heartgrow fonder and the technical innovations add an element of freshnessto the familiar. As to whether it's worth the trouble, that's one youcan only answer if you've seen and enjoyed Jackass before; it's alwaysgelled in a way that its contemporaries have struggled to do, and itremains consistently funny throughout. If Jackass is your (sick) bag, then there's little this year that will make you laugh as hard or aslong. Why see it at the cinema: For anyone even slightly inhibited, thecompany of others should allow you to truly enter into the spirit. (Andby that, I don't mean you should urinate on the row in front. Just tobe clear.) Why see it in 3D?: Where else can you expect to see a giantpink dildo being fired out of a cannon straight at your face? IN 3D?The Score: 9/10

Funny, but crappy Bluray
This review is from: Jackass 3 (Two-Disc Anaglyph 3D DVD / Blu-ray Combo + Digital Copy) (Blu-ray) Don't get me wrong...I love Jackass. The only crappy thing is that the Bluray disc is NOT IN 3D! Only the dvd is in 3d, and it's the only "blue and red" glasses 3d. Weak!

Short Honest Review.
These are one of those movies you love.... or you hate. So if your not sure if you like these types of movie go rent Jackass 1 and 2. Now with that being said... I never have left the theater with such satisfaction. I gaged twice, laughed and was grossed out the whole way through the movie. These guys mess themselves up bad. I hate how people give this movie a F. If you didn't like the first 2 you won't like this one. But if you loved the first two you will not be disappointed.

Pain = comedy
Jackass 3D is the latest from the group and as the title suggests, it'sin 3D. Stunning 3D if I dare say so. No matter how old I get I don'tthink I'll ever get tired of watching these brave men launch variousobjects at their genitalia and ignite a wide variety of explosiveswhile standing far too close for comfort.I'm sure most of you have seen the trailer so I don't have to go intothe stunts and pranks performed in the film, but what I will talk aboutis how amazing the film looks. 3D has been reserved for large scaleaction films and animated features. Here is essentially a documentarybeing shot in 3D, the first of its kind (though Werner Herzog'supcoming documentary Caves utilizes 3D technology as well). The compositions on screen are so bizarre yet so simple. They make themost immature acts a work of art. Rather than finding out the harmfuleffects of being stunned by a stun gun or cattle prod, they turn itinto an event whereby several members of the group run through ahallways with various types of these devices hanging in the air. These daredevils or "trained professionals," as they disclaim inopening credits, have gone from punk rebels to cultural icons. Theiroutlandish pranks and inconceivable stunts are a testament to oursociety's consumption of the obscene and the absurd. We watch thesehooligans abuse themselves for our enjoyment. We laugh at their pain. The only reason we laugh is because we aren't the ones feeling theirpain. What really makes this film funny is the groups approach to their work.I can imagine how many takes of each segment introduction their mustbe. The men are either dying from laughter at what is about to unfold,or they can hardly keep their composure for fear that this next stuntwill be their last. Regardless, we get a sense that what we are seeingon camera is what these people are really like. They laugh, scream, andgasp for air like we would, though perhaps with a little more courage. This carefree approach comes through in the production as well. Themelding of the crew with the cast is like watching a dysfunctionalfamily's home videos. The cameras capture the action both with the castand behind the scenes with the crew. It's a fun, slightly offatmosphere. To help create this atmosphere, we are fortunate enough tolisten to a great selection of songs, my favorite being Roger Miller's"You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd," played over JohnnyKnoxville being chased after by a herd of buffalo. Oh yeah, he's alsowearing roller skates. How fitting.I don't think I need to tell you all this, but this film isn't foreveryone. I can think of several scenes which some will find offensive, others will find revolting, and maybe a few of you will deem as unfitfor human eyes. Still, those who are fans of the show or if you'relooking for something new, look no further. This film is a raunchy, laugh riot.

Very Funny!!!
The Jackass gang are back with a vengeance! Part 3 is just as silly, crazy, disturbing, hilarious, gross, and disgusting as the first two. As usual, they perform ridiculous stunts and prank each other and anybody who happens to be near them. I would definitely recommend JACKASS 3D!!!

Absolutely Hilarious!
A giant 3D penis flying at your face, a man lying under a model traintrack defecating in volcanic fashion and a midget fight in a bar it canonly mean one thing, Jackass is back.Johnny Knoxville and his merry pranksters returned to the big screenthis week, its been 10 years since they made there first appearance onMTV and what a roller-coaster ride its been, ten years and three filmslater the franchise looks like its going out with a bang. The ageing stars of the film still manage to put themselves throughimmeasurable torture for our amusement and still 10 years on manage tocreate new and original ways of making each other wince in agony. The duck shooting and the Santa up the Christmas tree were perfectexamples that the crew are not running out of ideas. One thing Jackass has always managed to succeed at is offending and itdoes a damn good job in this instalment as well, with an old mangroping his granddaughter in the middle of the street being a primeexample, even my friends, 18 year old lads were questioning themorality behind it.An element which is brilliant about this film however is the fact thatif you don't like a gag, you only wait for a few minutes for the nextone.Obviously the movie is not going to be everybody's taste, with no doubthealth and safety Nazis among other's crying in protest over its unsafeand distasteful nature, but let them carry on, because no-ones going totake away the fun from this flick.8/10

NOT IN the 3D you EXPECT, what a ripoff
This review is from: Jackass 3 (Two-Disc Anaglyph 3D DVD / Blu-ray Combo + Digital Copy) (Blu-ray) Who would pay for the 1970's red/blue glasses 3D of any movie??Much less a movie that is a recent 3D release when people who have 3D Bluray. In the day where current releases labeled "3D Bluray" I don't expect to get a movie labled "3D Bluray disc" which was created this old 1970's format and put 4 pair of the cardboard red/blue glasses in the box! Were they too cheap and figured that if they just rolled it out with this type of 3D that everyone would buy it thinking it's current technology and not return it?This is a joke, glad I didn't open it, it's going back today. The current technology 3D is available on PPV on DirecTV if you own a 3DTV, so hopefully people will avoid this version like the plague and hope for a proper 3D Bluray!

Attention Viewer Digression Advised
First of all, if you don't know about Jackass, you need to be preparedfor a movie with no point at all. Jackass is the third movieinstallment based on the popular MTV series with the same name that ranfrom 2000 to 2002. The cast includes Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera,Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, Jason "Wee-Man" Acuña, Preston Lacy,Dave England, and Ehren McGhehey. Therefore, even though the show wasonly on TV for three seasons summing to 25 episodes, the antics did notend there. In 2002, Jackass: The Movie was released, followed byJackass: Number Two in 2006 along with numerous TV shows created bydifferent cast members including Viva La Bam, Dr. Steve-O, Wildboyz, and Homewrecker. Four years after their last meeting in their secondfilm these crazy men are back together in the latest Jackass movie in3D! The film follows these characters as they beat the living hell outof each other while performing a series of hilarious, disgusting, disturbing and dangerous pranks. This is the first film that has used 3D in a way that makes the filmworth seeing in 3D. The implementation of 3D adds to the party andalong with another dimension to the film. It allows all of the pranksto be bigger, better, funnier and more entertaining by immersing theaudience into the world of Jackass. The opening and closing scenes ofthe film abuse the use of 3D especially well through slow motioneffects and exceptional cinematography (yes I did just say that). Thestunts in the film are at a whole new level that the TV series or theprevious films have not been able to capture. The stunts are so crazyand ridiculous in the film that they will leave the entire audiencewondering; How are they all still alive? While no sane human beingwould be attempting these stunts in the first place leading to the factthat all of the actors mentioned earlier and especially JohnnyKnoxville, Bam Margera, Wee-man and Steve-O are all one of a kindmaniacs that prove that they are four of the craziest and mostentertaining men in the world (or are they just stupid?).There is no plot at all to this film and contains a specific type ofhumor that isn't for everyone. There are a lot of sexually orientedpranks in some shape or form. The film targets a very small audiencethat includes males ages 18 to 35 and even in this demographic themovie isn't for everyone. The film is extremely disgusting to the pointwhere multiple scenes are unwatchable to the extent of gagging. Nothingis off limits in the film and therefore there is no limit to how grossthe film gets and no limit on how long the scenes last. The disgustingaspect of the film ranges from scenes with male nudity to other sceneswith different forms of bodily waste. Jackass has always been this wayand when it comes to male nudity there is significantly less nudity inthis film than in Jackass: Number Two, which was more of a male nudityfest. Just be prepared for what you are getting yourself into beforeseeing this film. The Jackass TV series and Jackass 3D in general takes an acquired tasteand the right mood to enjoy. I cannot recommend this film because youalready know if you want to see it or not. Therefore, I recommend thatif you want to see it on the big screen in 3D see it now, otherwise, don't see it if you think its going

Jackass 3
This review is from: Jackass 3 (Single-Disc DVD) (DVD) I recently purchased Jackass 3 without having seen it first. I most say that I was disappointed with the third Jackass movie. Some of the gags are rehashed from the first two movies, both of which were pretty funny, but with Jackass 3 it feels like something is missing. I thought the gags were funnier when they were done on the unspecting public like the party boy gag on the first movie. Things just don't come across as funny the third time around. Rent this one before you buy it!

Great Movie...When is the DVD Coming?
Saw this movie over the weekend and laughed my a$$ off! Not sure what sort of bells and whistles are going to be on the DVD, but I can only imagine the hilarious stuff that they had to cut when they edited the theatrical version. If you are a fan of these kinds of movies, you NEED to check out Midgets vs. MascotsMidgets vs. Mascots (Unrated), Funniest movie that I saw in 2010, but Jackass 3D is a close second.

Delivers the goods
Johnny Knoxville and his whole of deviants are back in Jackass 3-D. I saw this at a screening last night. Screenings for the movie have been going since August. The audience I saw it with loved it, I loved it. If you've seen the other Jackass movies, you know what to expect. There's never a dull moment here. They did actually besides the groan inducing stunts actually did a lot more comedy gags than I expected (like the fat guy, slim guy bit). The stunts were good. They were all rude, crude, and painful. The 3-D glasses were good. My favorites of the top of my head were "Electric Avenue", duck hunt bit, "Poop Cocktail Supreme", and "Ram Jam". Other funny stunts where the one with Johnny playing a senior citizen (done before yes but still funny), the "Jet Ski" stunt, "Sweat cocktail", and stunts with bees. There's even one stunt with Dudesons. As with other Jackass movies, at the end we get the outtakes and a montage of pics. One of the guys said this would be their last movie together, but I wouldn't be surprised if the guys come back for another one. They always come energized to do their stunts and while all of them have aged, they are having at it.Dvd is sure to come with extra scenes. Jackass 3-D a fun watch.

If you spend your Jack youre the ass.
It doesn't meet any logical criteria as a movie and wasn't shot onfilm. It's a series of video clips of mostly crude stunts. If barfingis your idea of fun this is for you. No animals were harmed exceptperhaps the morons doing the stunts. There is something for everyone if you enjoy things usually performedinto a toilet performed on screen. There's a fun jet engine mega fan segment. The s**t is the only thingthat didn't hit the fan, but it hits almost everything else. There area few laughs and perhaps a weird touching relationship between theperformers.Segments that are supposed to be spontaneous come off looking staged, especially, the grandfather/granddaughter segment. Some of the materialappears not to be recorded in 3D. Super-imposing a 3D title doesn'tmake a scene 3D.Rather then see this piece of work; it should be placed into a timecapsule as a reference to the decline of western civilization.

So funny it hurts
I have never laughed so hard in my life during a movie. Jackass 3 movie is definitely not for everyone, but for most of us it is the best comedy available.

Utterly Grotesque and Effectively So....
Let me preface this by admitting from the outset, I ain't a Jackasskind of guy. Whilst I enjoy crude humour that pushes boundaries, theentire Jackass concept and' imitation culture' just irritates me, and Ihad never given it the time of day before this viewing. I watchedJackass 3 perched upon a high horse Lead by the charismatic Johnny Knoxville, the team engage in thetypical risky, gross-out and painful stunts one would expect, given thereputation that precedes them. From a poo volcano, to fart bubbles froma dildo bazooka to a tooth pulling Lamborghinis the film contains adiverse cocktail of gross out filth and traditional slapstick 'ouch'moments.**SPOILER ALERT** And speaking of cocktails, the 'Poo Cocktail Supreme'is perhaps one of the more memorable things I've seen caught on filmrecently. For those who haven't seen it, the skit involves rigging aport-a-loo to bungee cables, strapping Steve-O inside, and thrusting itinto the air to send an explosive poo spray all over the poor foolinside. Such moments carry a certain power; one which manages to inducea gag reflex and a chuckle simultaneously.I didn't watch the film in its 3D presentation, so the potency of thegross out may have been lost on the small screen. The added dimensionwould have provided a fun atmosphere to enjoy the shenanigans, and Ican imagine watching the film in a packed cinema (of which I hear therewere many throughout the $50 million opening weekend in the US) wouldbe a unique and unforgettable experience. One thing that really irritated me about the film was the excessivelaughter by the Jackass team. I know laughter is infectious, but Ifound it forced, disproportionate to the events, and ultimatelygrating. With no narrative, no point and no character, Jackass 3 is a curiousfilm to give a rating to. It is just good ol' fashion grotesque. WhilstI can't claim to have been impressed with the standard of film making,I fell off my high horse, and if gross out slapstick is your cup of tea(or cup of urine?), then rent Jackass 3 for a heady swig.
