Storyline
Plot Summary:
Goodnight Burbank debuted on the web as a webisodic series in March 2006. In April 2011, it was reborn with a new cast, new look and new feel as a webcom - the first ever half-hour scripted comedy made for the web. The series is about a fictional Burbank, CA 1000PM newscast and its crew. The original cast included members of the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City, and Improv Olympic. The new half-hour version is still written by creatorproducer Hayden Black and stars Laura Silverman, Dominic Monaghan, Miracle Laurie, Camden Toy and Black. It has featured, amongst others, John Barrowman, Adrienne Wilkinson, Jim Rash, Juliet Landau, and Parvesh Cheena.

Goodnight Burbank is HILARIOUS.
I can't say enough good things about "Goodnight Burbank"-it's justfriggin' HILARIOUS. It was genius from the start & it's still greatstuff. I give Goodnight Burbank a 10 out of 10. Obviously you know thepremise-during the taping of one's local television news show, theNewscasters "go to" the Field Reporters, the Cub-Reporter, theWeather-Guy/Gal", the "Fashion report segment", the "Entertainmentsegment", etc. While that segment's announcer/report is reporting we goback to the Newcasters as they yap w/one another about this & that-andit's friggin' HILARIOUS!! Once the Field Reporter/segment Host/Hostessis done, the News goes back to the Newcasters "live" & they pop backinto professional newscaster mode to wrap up the show. It's comedy gold! I'm right about this!Adam in Huntington Beach, CA : )

Goodnight Burbank Funny and Smart! Love it
Goodnight Burbank is twice as funny as any TV sitcom.I could write all day about how Hayden Black's writing deserves an Emmyor how his character Gordon Winston Smythe is all vanity and selfserving on the outside with a kernel of journalistic goodness dying toget out and do good reporting.Speaking of self serving vanity, Laure Silverman's Whitney Appleby ishot for all the wrong reasons. (and some of the right ones) Attractive?YES. Every time she starts pushing Jesus, brown nosing the stationmanager or talking about her wedding having swans proceed the weddingparty down the aisle only to be eaten for dinner at the reception.....I fall more in love with her crazy ass. Hysterically wrong and justplain hysterical.Dominic Monaghan as Paul Lynch the clueless reporter is cringe worthyhilarious as well. The whole staff is great... what other show tellsthe Muslim female assistant to "sit on a dead guys face so the corpsedoesn't pop up into the camera frame?" Dear God.. I mean Allah. I don't want to reveal spoilers from other episodes, so I onlymentioned Episode 1. But on Hulu you can watch the 1st season and it iscomedy gold. So, so funny.And each episode gets progressively moreinsane. "Do you know what the one word is every foreigner understands? KA-BOOM"I love you Whitney. Never change. Never! hahahahaha
